Lowboy
For tall, heavy iron
The deck drops low so the machine clears the overpasses. This is what your big excavator or dozer rides on.
Service
Excavators, dozers, loaders, graders and rock trucks. Lowboy, step deck and hotshot deck. Most machines move same day or next.
Every day your excavator sits on the wrong site, you're paying for it. Rental clock. Idle crew. A customer asking when you'll be there.
You call around. One outfit says next week. Another one won't call back at all.
You don't need a fleet pitch. You need a deck under that machine.
You call. A person answers. Tell us the machine, the weight, the attachments, where it's sitting and where it's going.
You get a real number, usually inside two hours. Permits, routing and escorts are in it.
We book the deck and tell you when we'll be there.
We load, strap and haul. You know when it's on route and when it lands.
Lowboy
The deck drops low so the machine clears the overpasses. This is what your big excavator or dozer rides on.
Step deck
Faster to load and unload than a lowboy. Good for mid-size machines and anything on tracks that still clears height.
Hotshot deck
Cheaper, and it moves fast. Skid steers, attachments, buckets and the part that's holding up your whole job.
We run these highways every week. Hwy 599 north to Pickle Lake. Hwy 105 into Red Lake. The 11 and 17 corridor east and west.
We know where the load restrictions come on in spring, where there's no fuel for 200 km, and how to get a lowboy in and out of a bush road in March.
It depends on the weight of the machine, the distance, and whether the load needs a permit.
A short move inside Thunder Bay prices differently than a run up 599 to Pickle Lake. Permits, pilot cars and bush road access all change the number, so we work it out before we roll instead of after. Call with the make, model and where it's sitting and you'll have a real figure in about two hours.
Yes. We come from the same yard as Total Tow, so we have the winches and the recovery gear.
Tell us it's a dead machine when you call so we bring the right truck the first time.
No, as long as we can get to the machine and you've told us where it is.
If the site is gated or the machine is buried in behind other iron, it helps to have someone there. Tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
Make, model, weight, attachments, exact pickup spot and where it's going.
The more of that you have, the tighter the number and the less chance it changes on the day.
